Gores關卡通常是指通道完全由 可鈎牆體構成，且所有牆體附近均存在至少一格寬高的凍結區域的關卡。而實際上，由於各個地圖作者的作圖風格不同，在某些Gores關卡中也可能會存在禁鈎牆體，鈎索傳送區域等其他實體。
鈎累死模式名字的起源已不為人知。一些可能的說法是源於第一張鈎累死地圖，或者該地圖的作者名字，也可能是"go res[cue]（開展援救）"的簡稱諧音鈎累死。
DDNet中的Gores地圖
僅由Gores關卡組成的地圖稱為Gores地圖。絕大部分Gores地圖都可以在KoG伺服器中找到，但在DDNet伺服器中也有少量的Gores地圖。以下將按照難度星級對DDNet中存在的Gores地圖進行總結，同時將單人伺服器下的Gores地圖羅列至最後。
