На цій сторінці представлені найпоширеніші скорочення та терміни , які використовуються гравцями в залежності від ігрової модифікації та описують основні внутрішньоігрові концепції.

Терміни та скорочення DDNet

Скорочення

• 3fly : потрійний політ (зазвичай використовують "трипл флай"). Вигляд польоту, при якому гравець б'є водія (керма) і підтягує третій знизу.
• b : back (укр.назад), Зазвичай використовується гравцями, що впали у заморожену частину, яким потрібна допомога.
• dj : double jump (укр.подвійний стрибок). Використовується у фразах "need dj" ("потрібний дж") або "get dj" ("візьми дж"), щоб гравець вжив заходів для отримання подвійного стрибка (встати на твердий блок).
• dyn : Динамічна камера.
• flw : follow (укр.слідуй за мною) Прохання приєднатися до гравця на іншому сервері.
• fv : fun vote (укр.голосування без причини), коли гравець голосує за іншу карту або за бан іншого гравця без причини.
• hf : hammer fly, хамерфлай, хф.
• hh : hammer hit, хамерхіт, хх.
• hr : hammer run, хамерран
• jp : jetpack, джетпак, джет. Джетпак дозволяє тобі літати за допомогою (пістолета)
• r1 : rank 1, (укр. "Номер 1, перший ранк"). Використовується для позначення найкращого часу на тій чи іншій карті.
• re : (укр. "переграємо, рестарт"). Пропозиція пройти карту з самого початку.
• rf : rocket fly, рокетфлай
• rq : rage-quit, рк. Зазвичай використовується для глузування з гравця, який залишив гру на півдорозі в пориві гніву.
• sg : shotgun дробовик, шотган, шот, шг, сг.
• t0 : team 0, т0. Команда, в яку гравець потрапляє при підключенні до сервера

Тії (Гравець)

Персонаж, яким керує гравець.

Голосування без причини

Голосування без зазначення належної причини у відповідному полі (часто це голосування за вигін гравця із сервера або за переведення його у спостерігачі).

Едж (куточок)

To edge is to place yourself on the edge of a block, where you are out of range of tiles like freeze, teleport, or kill. This is possible because the hitbox of these tiles is smaller than the square entity shown in-game.

In race terminology, this is also referred to as 'buguse'.

Not to be confused with an edge hook.

Fail

This is a common term used by players to refer to the state where you can no longer progress on the map, be it because everyone is frozen, or you can't do a part alone and your partners are not in a place you can reach.

Failing in DDNet is pretty common, especially in harder map difficulties such as DDmaX, Oldschool, Moderate, Brutal and Insane since these maps have faily parts.

Faily part

Map parts where you can fail. Sometimes, players will say "faily" when you should be more cautious than usual.

Follow

To follow a player to another server, usually to play a different on a populated server.

It's easy to find another player using the Friends tab in the server browser after adding them (Escape > Players > Heart icon bubble)

Noob Filter

A solo part at the start of a cooperative map that needs to be passed by everyone before they can start the map. Exists to "filter" out those who aren't skilled enough for the map.

Blocker

A blocker is a player who intentionally fails or kills other people.

If you see someone blocking you can report them on the Discord server in the #reports channel.

Common FNG Acronyms and Terms

Acronyms

• ns : nice shot.
• sac : sacrifice, to throw an enemy into spikes for points.

Terms

Steal

To sacrifice a frozen tee that someone else shot, stealing their points and their kill. It's considered disrespectful to steal someone's kill while they're still alive and near the frozen tee.

Block

To disrupt a teammate's movement by hooking or hammering them. Usually done while said teammate is trying to sacrifice a kill.

Acronyms

• fw : fun war, blocking without killing each other.
• perma : permanent block, blocking people in a way where saving is impossible.
• w4l : war for life.
• wb : way block, blocking people on the way to main block area.

Life

War for life, killing each other for whole life long.
