邊緣跳(英語:Edge jump)指一種在牆體邊緣上進行跳躍操作的技巧,而使用這項技巧時,通常牆體正上方會存在凍結區域,傳送區域或即死區域等。因為這些區域的碰撞箱比看上去要小,所以玩家可以牆體邊緣而不會觸碰到。在視覺上,Tee可半身進入到凍結或傳送區域內。而即死區域碰撞箱則比較大,想站在即死區域邊緣會更加困難。碰撞箱詳情參閱碰撞一頁。

單雙格凍結區域邊緣跳

多次練習可簡單實行單格或雙格凍結區域邊緣跳。首先在邊緣處跳起來,之後下降到某一位置時候按住方向鍵,即可跳到凍結區域另一側的邊緣處。玩家經過大量練習後即可熟能生巧、完美掌握邊緣跳移動時機。

三格凍結區域邊緣跳

三格凍結區域邊緣跳難以像單雙格的那般穩定。但如果玩家站在邊緣時位於特定的x坐標上,則可百分百觸發該項技巧。按下ctrl+⇧ Shift+D來開啟調試參數,屏幕右上方將顯示玩家坐標,玩家應注意x坐標小數點後面的數值。在DDNet 16.2版本後,玩家可以在設置 > 遊戲界面 > HUD > DDRace HUD里開啟「顯示玩家坐標」來查看玩家所處的坐標位置。

進階技巧

自動邊緣跳

當玩家使用二段跳躍後即將抵達一處邊緣時,可以快速鬆開並再次按下跳躍鍵,玩家便有可能在接觸邊緣後立即進行一次跳躍。地圖Toe Taps便是以此機制設計的。
