Team Death Match was added alongside with CTF to Teewars 0.3 in 2007-12-15<ref name=":0">Teewars 0.3 release announcement: https://www.teeworlds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=172</ref><ref name=":1">Teewars 0.3 release notes: https://web.archive.org/web/20071220094221/http://www.teewars.com:80/?page=downloads&id=171</ref>. It has the same rules as Death Match, but players are arranged into two teams. The team score is the sum of all player scores within the team.
